How far along for a Baby shower?

When do you normally have a baby shower? How far along should you be?

Due July 18th shower may 17th. Just want everything done and put away early so I can have a break before baby gets here.

My shower was March 15th and I'm due April 15th usually people have them around 7 months just in case the baby decides to arrive early :)

I'm due July 27th and I'm having mine may 23rd. I'll be 30 weeks

We will be having our at nearly 31 weeks because that is the last time we will be back home with all our friends and family before the birth, otherwise I might have chosen to wait a little longer

Around 30 weeks ish. Mine was at 25 weeks only because my husband Came down on orders to move to Alaska. But it was originally planned for 30 weeks.
