Baby's Heartbeat?

I have my first doctors appointment later on this month. By the date of the appointment I'll be 9 weeks. I was told they would do a sonogram. Is it possible to hear the heartbeat? This is my first baby so everything is new to me.

Sure. I heard my first baby's heartbeat at around 7 weeks and my second baby's at 6 weeks 2 days. It depends sometimes on the type of machine they are using as well.

I wonder why some girls are able to hear it at 6 or 8 weeks and others not until later? Just curious

Yes. I was 8 weeks at mine and we heard a heartbeat.

Heart beat is normal 16/17 weeks x
