Pill that makes you lose weight?

I'm planning on going on the pill pretty soon here. Is there one that you've found makes you lose weight? Or even maintain? I do not want to gain weight from the pill.

It's not like prednisone. You will be fine if you work out and show some restraint. I did neither, and attribute my weight gain to dining hall meals more than meds.

A side effect of the pill is gain weight due to water retention. If you drink your 64 oz or more of water daily and exercise you will be good :)

I was on Ocella, the generic of Yasmin for 6 years.  I very slowly lost weight but it may have been contributed to growing up and getting a better understanding of how much food I need each day, plus working out.  I do think that the emotional roller coaster I feel I'm on each month was subdued while on the pill.  Highs weren't as high and lows weren't as low.

There's a ton of studies done that show the pill itself does not cause weight gain. It can indirectly though...if it increases your appetite from the hormones or you're prone to depressed binge eating. But the hormones themselves don't directly cause weight gain. I've been on orthocyclen for three years now. If anything I lost four pounds (originally 120). I eat twice as much as before the pills and I'm still skinny. If you can curb the hunger sometimes caused by the pill, you shouldn't experience any weight gain.
