Advice: How to share my pregnancy news with a friend who has been TTC for 4+ years?

I have a dear friend who I has been TTC for 4+ years. I just found out I am pregnant and I want to share it with her before I tell everyone else. What is the best, most sensitive way to do this? 
Text, phone call, face to face? 
How should I approach it? 
I want to be kind and sensitive, because I know this is something she has struggled with. I know she will be happy for me, but I want it not to hurt tremendously for her.
Please advise.

As a person who is struggling to conceive, I would hate this being done face to face. My SIL got pregnant by 'accident', she called to tell me and Im so grateful it was a phone call so that I could react in private.

If I were you, I'd phone her, tell her that I'm pregnant and then ask to meet for lunch or a drink to talk about it. Then she has time to prepare.

I have been told face to face and phone call and facebook. I like the face to face but the call was good to so I could have my reaction with everyone knowing. Please dont tell her Facebook that hurts worse than anything.

My friend told me via text that she was pregnant, and I'm glad she did because I didn't react very well to the news and worse than I thought I would! Once I'd calmed down and composed myself I rang her up and cried tears of joy with her (and a little bit of frustration on my part) but I am so happy for her but my initial reaction was not good!!

I agree with the comment about doing it over the phone, not a text but a call. My SIL knew I had been trying and she was sensitive in telling me she was pregnant, but it still hurt. She told me at the beginning of the night during our weekly family get together. And even though I was happy for her, I still had to hold tears back all night. I completely lost it when I got home.

She will be happy for you,  thrilled and excited but good chance she will go home and cry a little. My best friend started trying after I have been for month and go pregnant 2 months after trying..it pulls a heart string but I am so happy for her and feel blessed she told me first out of our friends..
