There actually is research proving that Zofran is linked to birth defects including, but not limited to, cleft lip/palate, heart problems, deformation of the skull and brain growth issues. There are two other medications that can be prescribed for nausea....I have HG so I know how hard it is and I was taking Zofran and my doctor called and told me to stop. Also, half a Unisom tablet and a Vitamin B pill help with nausea. But of course, always ask your doctor first. Please let fellow pregnant women know so they can be aware of the downfalls of using Zofran.
