Okay so this was my blood test that I got done at school. They spun my blood down and used the serum. It came out positive instantly. But when I use urine nothing shows up. Is that normal? I'm trying not to worry about it but it's kinda difficult.

I worked in a lab, those kinds of tests have to say that they can be used for blood and urine in order for it to be a true positive. If your using just serum on a regular hpt, that's invalid.

I've heard you can use blood bc the HPT still tests for the hcg hormone, but they are really recommended with urine. I would go to doctor for blood test before getting your hopes up. Baby dust to you.

These tests are made to be used with urine, so I'm not sure if it's still accurate being used with blood. Where are you at in your cycle? Is AF late?

You should be testing positive on a urine by now.

Maybe your only weeks pregnant and ur blood is the only way to tell right now give it another week or so then pee on the test

Yes they do tho that early hard to tell as the colour of blood and water would be pink I guess if you miss af you know it picked up early

I called the doctor and asked if I could use an hpt test for serum tests and she said yes. That they all measure hcg in both ways. I'm due for my period in 7 days.
