I would also suggest calling around to clinics or sitting down with a reproductive endocrinologist on your area (you can check the sart.org website for success rates, but whether or not this specific service is offered is probably not listed there). The reason I suggest making some calls first is because many clinics do not allow gender selection.

I planned to do the genetic testing and it was estimated between $13k-$17k, due to different factors like how many eggs would be tested, how long I would needed to be on meds and on what dosage, how much I would need to be monitored, etc. There are a lot of variables.  If this is a route you are strongly considering, I'd find a reputable reproductive endocrinologist to discuss this with. If you are in SoCal, I can recommend my doctor, who is in Newport Beach.

I was going to start the IVF process due to MFI, but somehow I naturally conceived right before we started. Although I didn't need to go that route, I was planning on doing PGD to avoid any issues later in a pregnancy. I had a friend who did it to rule out issues after she had a miscarriage due to abnormalities.  She did not select the gender of her baby.  Did you have a specific question about it?
