Vitimin c

Have any of you ladies ever used vitimin c to induce a period ? I am 3 days late and not pregnant . My doctor wants to do a menstrual extraction 2 weeks from now but id like to try a natural or Otc way so I don't have to have this pretty invasive thing done over a stupid period !
