When did you tell close family members?

I'm deciding when is the best time to announce. This will be our first pregnancy and i'm worried about when to tell because of the miscarrying rate and such..

We told people close to us right away like parents and siblings. My thought was if anything happened I would want someone to be able to support me.

My rule was: if I would tell these people I had a miscarriage and would seek out their support for that, then they are safe to tell early.

At this point (7w4d) mine and hubby's parents and siblings know, a few close friends, and my coworkers know.

We told all of our parents grandparents and siblings the night we found out we took a test! We figured if we had a miscarriage than we would want the support of them and we couldn't go through that alone. We waited to tell friends and everyone else until we knew we were safe.
