Positive OPK one month, the next nothing, still ovulating?

Last month I had a positive (smiley face) OPK..this month, did the same routine, and nothing, however I know my body ovulated..has this ever happened to anyone? One month yes the next nothing but still ovulated? Care to explain why this may have happened..and can you still ovulate even if you didn't get a positive one?

Same thing happened to me this month! I read women don't always ovulate every month but then I read you won't get a period either. I also read you could have missed it because it's such a short time span and that why some women test twice a day, morning and evening. They actually recommend afternoons/evening because unlike the pregnancy hormone the hormone they detect for ovulation builds up throughout the day and its highest is in the evenings while the pregnancy is highest in the morning.
