What will you do with your placenta?

What will you (or did you) do with your placenta after your baby is born?

Why would someone bury their placenta? It's not a family pet.

I'm going to let my doctor take it away with the rest of he bio hazardous waste and never think about it again.

One of my friends froze her son's placenta. She literally froze the entire thing in her freezer. Then, when her son turned 10, she let him decide what he wanted to do with it. So they painted with his placenta for a day.
She's super weird, but I have a strange admiration for her.

I'm hoping to encapsulate on my own but I'm nervous about it.. If I truly chicken out, smoothies it is.

I haven't looked into what the NHS will let you do but I'd like to encapsulate. I'm so scared of post natal depression I'm going to be looking at anything that could help
