Did You Use Metformin?

Question

Describe your experience with Metformin:

Side effects?
Did it help with TTC? If so, how many cycles?
Did you lose weight if you didn't get PG? How much? Over what period of time?
How many milligrams?
Any other info from your experience is appreciated, also.

I took metformin for almost 2 years and it did not help me with conceiving. I took 1500 mg a day. I do know some people who have gotten pregnant while on it. As far as side effects goes, it caused some stomach issues and hot flashes for me and dizzy spells as well.

I take 1500 mg per day and it is rough. Some days I get really bad stomach cramps, diarrhea and dizzy spells but other days I'm fine. I started taking it may of 2012!because of PCOS and conceived in July 2012. Before I conceived I lost almost 30 pounds. After my daughter was born (April 2013) I didn't take it at all. Recently we have been ttc and started it taking it again in January. So far not pregnant but hoping that this is my month!

Yes. I've been on it for a year and a half, but not steadily. I've been on it since January this time and last time I was on it for approximately 5 months. I have lost 20 pounds overall... no serious side effects really until now that he increased my dosage. It has made me have stomach cramps and messed with my bowel movements for and couple of days and first... other than that, it's fine... it really has helped regulate me. It's for diabetes, but I don't have diabetes. My ob gave it to me for my irregular periods since we were actively ttc...

I took it. Three pills a day. Took me 3 months of my one year journey on it ttc. Currently 6 weeks. Took along with femera.

It wasnt a choice to take metformin. I had to start taking it bc I have PCOS. It actually is hard to lose weight. I take 500 mg.
