I don't believe in soul mated or "the one"

I believe that I can choose who I want to spend the rest of my life with and that it will take work.

I've been with Adam for two years and I choose to stay with him..I choose to love him.  He is my bestfriend. He takes care of me financially and emotionally. He still surprises me with flowers and takes me out to dinner. He still kicks my ass at pool and I'd be a fool to let him go to some other chick.  So therefor I choose to keep him ...so that's how I know he is the one.

You just know. I've been with my bf for almost 11 years and I just knew from the moment I met him.

I knew because I've never fought harder to keep someone. Any other guy I dated, I would just be like "oh well, F it" and move on when things fizzled out. My husband said that's how he knew I truly loved and cared for him, because I literally never gave up and that's how he knew I was like no other girl. Every fight we had even if i didnt start it, I would do everything possible to keep him.

My husband was one of my best friends growing up. We started dating after we both ended 2 year long relationships (originally we just started hanging out more and used each other as confidants) of course I was worried about ruining our friendship by starting a relationship but I took the plunge with him after he volunteered to come with me to my surgery (where I found out I had stage 4 endometriosis). I realized about 1-3 months of dating that he was the one because I felt totally myself around him and he makes me laugh and smile all the time.
