Cm or left over semen?!

So I've been checking my cm like a mad woman since we are ttc. I haven't used a opk yet on a cycle. I am just confused about my cm versus old semen. We bd'd last night and my cm about 12 hrs later is stretchy with white streaks. When I do a double check its light lotiony. What are some tips to decipher between the two?
