So my SIL said she has used opk as hpt because they sense both hcg and lh. Any tweakers up for a try on the pregnancy test?

Well your opk is for sure positive! Maybe try and wait a Lil longer( I know its hard) just to give your body more time to produce hcg. Good luck!

This happened to me! I tested a week before Af was due bc I had cramping and nausea. The opk was positive. And preg negative. My OB says that HCG can we picked up on a pregnancy test around 1 week before your period but the pregnancy test may stay negative for a few more days. (Depending on when u test) so my opk was positive 7dpo and on 11dpo I got my first faint. Today I'm 6 1/2 weeks!

You can also get a surge of LH right before AF.

You have to be further along for it to test pos for hcg.

In my research I found that opks read lh and hcg. But hpt ONLY read hcg. I think using the opk also depends on how far along you are if you're pregnant too

I read it can pick them up if they are really strong. Mine weren't when I tried :/ few more days maybe
