5w2d ultrasound. Just a sac. Thoughts?

So I had an early ultrasound yesterday at 5w2d because I was having some cramping. All they were able to see was the gestational sac. Dr said it was normal, but he wants me to come back in two weeks to make sure there's a baby and a heartbeat. My hcg levels were already almost 8,000. Has anyone else experienced this and had a healthy baby?

Just realized I never updated! The first pic is my 7w2d scan. HR of 145 bpm measuring on track. The second two pics are 9w6d abdominal scan. Baby wiggled too much to get a good pic but I could see her (or him) waving and kicking around, and the HR was 175!!!

Totally normal😊 Every machine is different and can see different things. That early, I've seen a flicker of the heart, just a sac, and a pole and sac. Don't stress a thing

5 weeks is early to see anything. Your numbers seem really good. I had a lot of cramping in early pregnancy  it was just the uterus  stretching  out. I know it's hard not to worry I wish you a long healthy nine months

Same thing happened to me. Mc'd in middle of jan... Went in for routine hcg level check at the end of February....should have been sooner but I was being lazy.... And found out they were rising again...went back 3 days later they jumped to around 7200.. On the 16th of March all there was, was a sac.......I was 😔.... Was told to come back 10 days later,  saw baby heartbeat flicker And yolk sac.... It was almost as if it just popped up out of nowhere.... This all after a mc

I just went to the er yesterday I am 5w3d and all they could see was sac. Was told when I go next Wednesday for my appointment I should see yolk sac,my baby and heartbeat! My hcg was only 4546. Yours is really good!

Yes at 5+2 only gestational sac and hcg was 9900 @5+3. Went back at 6+6 and saw baby with heartbeat!

Yes. At 5w I had just the gestational sac, then at 6w1d saw baby!!

5 weeks is definitely too early. I had my scan at 6 weeks exactly and I couldn't tell what anything was, had a scan at 6w4d for my first pregnancy and could see way more. They start out so tiny, you typically can't see anything useful until later in the 5th week (and of course, depending on when it implanted, your dates could be off by a few days, maybe more if you don't track ovulation)

Check here, what can be seen @5 weeks etc. Everything depends on the us-machine so early. But also you could have ovulated later..
