1st appt not until 7-9 wks?

I called ob/gyn to make my first appt, I'm 5 weeks today. They said they see women for first appt at 7-9 weeks so I don't have my appt until I'm 8 weeks. Does that sound typical? I don't need anything, like blood tests, earlier?

It's normal! My Dr doesn't see patients til 10 to 12 weeks! I will go in next week at 10 weeks.

I went to my GP and he ran early bloodwork and a pregnancy test. I didn't see my OB until almost 9 weeks.

I went in at 6 weeks to just confirm the pregnancy, I didn't meet with the doctor or do blood work or anything. Then at 10 weeks is when my first actual appointment was! So, yes very normal!

I'm meeting with my Midwife the 27th. I'll be a day shy of 8weeks. I scheduled a separate ultrasound though with planned parenthood, and they are having my come on in at 6weeks and 3days.

That's exactly how mine is!!! I want to go in like now!!! I'm 4 weeks today and going in at 7. Seems like an eternity. Sounds like it's pretty normal though :/
