I had the same thing. It's not a Doppler it just amplifies sounds. You really can't hear much except bodily fluids swishing around and sometimes you'll catch your own heart beat but won't catch baby's until your much farther along. I could hear my first baby moving but I only knew it because I felt her kicking at the same time.

I have the exact one. Used it for my 1st couldn't hear her until about 13 weeks but I have been using it with my twins and heard them at 9 weeks. Good luck and don't worry if you have troubles finding the heart beat sometimes baby is closer to the back so it makes it hard to find
