Are your furbabies more involved/curious/clingy now that you're pregnant?

Question

Are your furbabies (if you have any) becoming more and more lovey dovey? Do you think they understand/can sense the baby? Let's see the loveyness!

Saw a similar post in general pregnancy thought it would be nice for our little community ^_^

Duece is my SOs 85lb red brindle boxer and usually just sticks to bed cuddles once my SO goes to work or being close by but lately (about the last month) has been so cuddly. No matter where I am...even in odd places he was tries to cram his way into my lap or chair just to rest his face on my tummy.  Feels like an "I will protect you too" pact to the baby.  Anyone else feel the same way/have animals seeming to try to be close to the baby?

Don't have pics but mine have been super clingy. With my first my Doberman became super protective and we didn't know why..and two weeks later found out I was pregnant! They are so smart!!

Call me a pessimist but I am a believer that this is a case of correlation and not causation. I don't think animals are acting any differently. I think their humans are noticing their affections more and wanting there to be an intuition where there isn't one.

My dog is one of the main reasons I took a test. She would not leave me alone. I'm 15 weeks now and she is still very clingy. I love it :) I hope she feels that way once the baby is here and doesn't feel left out.

This was before I even knew I was pregnant! He's a very reclusive dog at times, so for him to be like this without me calling him was somewhat odd! I guess I know why now. Still somewhat more clingy now, I'm 12 weeks 4 days.
