Easter bunny and eggs ??

Please don't judge me or my daughter but my daughter asked me "mommy do bunnies have eggs or do they have babies like people's do "? I had no idea what to tell her than I start questioning myself why is Easter about a bunny and eggs if bunnys don't lay eggs they give birth to them ?

Eatser was originally a pagan holiday to celebrate fertility. Rabbits are extremely fertile and can produce multitudes of offspring in short periods of time and eggs represent fertility as well.

Im also surprised no one ever wonders why Easter is on a different day every year - if Jesus was truly resurrected on Easter, then why does the date change every year?

It's from what Staci said - it's a pagan holiday representing spring and the spring equinox. Nothing to do with Jesus :P
