Suggestions?!

My fiancé and I are in the process of making a list of items we will need for the baby when he/she comes. Any suggestions of what should be on it??

I find a lot of the store registry lists are way too long. They do that on purpose cuz obviously the more they put on there, the more people buy and the more money they'll make. And a lot of stuff out there is actually not safe for baby but is still being sold at the stores. A couple examples are crib bumpers and walkers. I would just go with the basics. Car seat, stroller, crib/bassinet/firm flat surface for sleeping, clothes, receiving blankets, swaddle blankets, bibs, pacifiers, a few different types of bottles of you plan on doing formula/mix of breastfeeding and formula, soft washcloths and towels, no tear baby shampoo and body wash, diapers, diaper genie. Furniture wise crib, changing table/pad, rocking chair. Something else you might want is a swing/bouncer. This is all for newborns. You'll obviously need more later like a high chair, etc.

I recommend taking an infant care class.

I found some pretty good lists in baby books and on Pinterest. I always looked for the "minimalist" lists. Stores like Babies R Us have sample registries, but there is SO much stuff on there.
