Hey all. I had the Paragard IUD placed 15 months ago. Being in the medical field, I felt like it would fit my life best. Well, it has been a nightmare with every period I have had with it. My periods are 32 days apart and I have a guaranteed 5-7 days of HEAVY bleeding with pretty bad cramping. So bad sometimes that I have the breathe through them. (Thank god they are short-lived). Before paragard they were pretty light and NO cramps. My husband and I still don't want kids yet, but I am seriously thinking of yanking it myself. It should get better within a year, but has not yet. Anyone else have this issue with Paragard?
