Advice on getting birth control?

I don't want my Mom to know I want to get birth control or she will freak out and never let me see my boyfriend again. Im trying to be proactive and get them as a precaution in case we decide to start having sex. I also know it comes with health benefits that I do need especially since my periods are ridiculously irregular and come with extreme symptoms. She's a religious old school Hispanic and doesn't believe in birth control even for the health benefits. I just don't want to go through our Doctor and insurance. Is there any other options??
