I am 12 weeks 5 days and 20 years old and my doctor just told me today that I tested positive for Down syndrome... I thought this odd because Of my age and it doesn't run in either mine or my boyfriends family but the doc said that I have a 1 in 150 chance of actually having a baby born with Down syndrome, my doctors said that out of 150 patients he had with a positive result only 1 will have a baby born with Down syndrome. I know I will love the baby either way but now I am kind of leaning towards having the CVS testing done to get a more accurate result... There is a 0.5% chance of miscarriage if i get the test done but the test is 99.5% accurate... I  know I don't handle pain well and it's two needles that get stuck into your stomach but I feel like I would rather be prepared for it either way.... Need some serious advice not sure what I should do... 😞
