First night apart from boyfriend, listened to song and cried, what's that mean?

I've never cried being apart from a boyfriend. I played the song "Whenever We're Alone" by Brantley Gilbert, and cried. I don't cry easily, this is the first time we've been apart from each other since we started dating. We've been dating for a little over a month, and decided to take a few days apart because he's had a rough week and a half and needed space, we didn't and won't break up.
