Lupron?

I was on Lupron shots for 6 months (at 16) and it was the most miserable thing I have ever had to go thru. My bones would hurt and my feet would cramp up in a ball in the morning. I was just curious if anyone else has ever had to go thru Lupron and if so was your experience good or bad?

I'm 21 had my laparoscopic diagnosis at 20 and am currently almost a month off of lupron, took the 3 month dose and was on it for 6 months. I was so terrified to take it bc of all of the side effects, but took it nonetheless because my endo pain was getting out of hand and the endo is causing infertility.
Everyone is different, but for me the side effects weren't as bad as I've read about.
The hot flashes were my biggest issue, especially having taken it at the beginning of summer, THEY WERE TERRIBLE, and the night sweats were even worse, all I had to do was think about being hot and boom, hot flash, but that was the worst of it for me. I had some bleeding a week in that lasted as long as a period, but had no cramps and it was -tmi just blood, no tissue like how periods usually are. My mood swings were really bad, as my husband tells me, but he's been my number one supporter. I experienced nausea in the beginning and sometimes randomly through out the treatment. I didn't notice any significant weight gain, and my mental health wasn't the best going into the treatment so I didn't really notice anything with depression or anxiety that was out of my normal. Almost a month off, I still get a hot flash once in a while (maybe winter has helped with it?) I get headaches and I have no bleeding or cramps as of yet. I was hoping to get my cycle back within my first month off but l've read the second and third month off are more common. I'm just nervous bc l've read that the first cycle off is excruciatingly painful and sometimes people have problems getting their cycle back in general, I hope this helps anyone that reads!!

I know it's been over 6 months since this post but I've been through lupron. I had one 3 month shot(~12mg), I was supposed to have two. And yes it's horrible. Regardless of what dr's say, I 100% believe it has lasting effects and I have some lasting effects from it. I lost a year of my life to it and I'm not the same person I was before it. But I am stronger in some aspects because of it. How do you feel about lupron in respects to it having lasting effects? Do you now have any other health problems since it?
