IUI success stories?

My fertility doc is having me skip the HSG and go straight into a "Clomid IUI" (he says it's more cost effective) and the Clomid would ensure ovulation. Anything I should know beforehand? Did it work for you? I'm 34 and have "unexplained infertility", ttc 10 months.

I used IUI and Femara for my dtr.  We had been trying over a year.  My first cycle I never made it to IUI becuase I had too many good follicles and there were too many good chances to have multiples (more than 3). Anyway the next month i did the IUI and it worked the first month.  It's painless.  Good luck!
