When do I start my birth control pack?

The drs just recently messed up my birth control and cancelled it by accident.... so now I wont be getting my refill of it for another 2 weeks but i am supposed to start the new pack tomorrow! Since I have been on the pill for 3 years now, I cant remember how to start it! Do I wait till my next period? Or start taking it as soon aa I get it? Help!

You can technically start it whenever & just use backup for 7 days (though that's more likely to change up when your period comes and/or deal with spotting the first month from starting it at a random point in your cycle. Or you can start the first day of your period & be protected immediately. Or you can start it the Sunday after your period starts (which could mean starting it in the middle of your period, or days after it ends) & use backup protection for 7 days.

You can start whenever you want. Read the packet to be sure, but I believe that taking the first pill on the first day of your period will protect you right away. If you take it whenever, it takes a few weeks to protect you.

Wait until your next period. You can start it the day your period starts or wait and start it the first Sunday after your period starts if that will help you remember when you started it etc.
