Anyone else not hear heartbeat at 10 weeks?

Question

I went to my 10 week app on tuesday, and dr tried to find heartbeat using the doppler but he couldn't find it. He didn't seem worried beacuse I don't have to go back for four weeks. He said it was probably too early and the baby may not be above the pubic bone yet. I did have a ultrasound at 8 weeks and heard the heartbeat it was 168 then. It just scares me a little not being able to hear it and having to wait 4 more weeks until i can. Anyone else not able tk hear your babys heartbeat with doppler at 10 weeks?

Didn't hear mine. I have had several ultrasounds due to a pregnancy filled with threatened miscarriage, so I have seen it. However at 10, it was not located with Doppler.
I'm at 14 now, still have faith it growing in there. 
Some babies don't cooperate!

I went for 12 week check up and doctor flat out said he wasn't going to use the Doppler because you won't hear anything yet. If you heard it on the ultrasound I wouldn't worry! Some machines are more sensitive than others.

They couldn't hear mine at 12 weeks because he said it was still behind my pelvis. So we did an ultrasound instead and saw the baby and heard the heart beat that way. It was a pleasant suprise since my husband was away for the first ultrasound.

I didn't & I worried myself to the hospital it's normal & if your on the thick side like I am you probably won't hear your baby's heartbeat on a Doppler till after the first trimester

I didn't hear mine at 10 weeks. Doctor said its because the uterus is below your pelvic bone still at that time so it can be difficult. My doctor brought out a portable ultrasound to make sure she could see the heartbeat and all was okay. I'm 14w4d now and heard the heartbeat for the first time this week! Amazing sound!👶🏼

Try not to stress to much it could be miscarriage  and it could be what your doc said try not to stress just in case it is just to low or hiding ps. I'm sorry if it is a miscarriage  this response  sounds so insensitive

This same thing happened to me at 10weeks. The midwife said it is common and not to worry. Today I went in at 14w2d and they found the heartbeat right away. Do not worry!

I was not able to hear the heartbeat at 10 weeks, but we were able to see it on the ultrasound. I found out at my 12 week nuchal translucency u/s that the placenta is attached to the front side of my uterus right now and although it will eventually move to the back side, it can block the heartbeat from the Doppler. It's not as common to have an anterior attached placenta, as a posterior one, but it's not so uncommon that it's abnormal and it doesn't make any difference to the health of you baby or pregnancy. Another possibility is if you have a retroverted uterus (tilted toward your back) then it can be hard that early to hear heartbeat as well. So there are at least two possibilities for why you may not have heard it. Just wanted to share this info because I would be worried just as you are!!

When I went for my 10 week appointment my midwife couldn't find the heartbeat with a Doppler. She pulled in an ultrasound machine and I saw my baby and the heartbeat on there. She told me to very common to not hear it as early as 10 weeks. I would be really nervous too, but try to relax. If you haven't had any bleeding or pain chances are everything is okay!

Anyone else not hear heartbeat at 10 weeks?
