Dreadlock Extensions

My hair is currently shoulder length.

I've had dreads before but did them really sloppy like and ended up cutting them out.

I'm ready for them again, but want them long right away. Mainly because my natural hair dreads best with extensions to help get it started.

I tried using kenakalon but I don't like the look of them. I want to use my human hair extensions. What's the best way to get thin, open ended dreads? Also, what's the best way to attach them to my natural hair?
