I ask this because I was watching a video of a women who claimed it took her a month or so to actually fall in love with her baby. She explained that it was difficult for her to love a stranger. It was only after her baby started to show personality and cracked his first smile that she felt the love of a mother flow through her. She cared about the baby but she didn't love him right off the back.

Has anyone else experienced anything similar? You hated or loved your pregnancy but you experienced a temporary maternity block? You just couldn't love your baby right away until they started showing their colors.
