Are you scared to become a young Mom?

Lately I have had a lot of apprehensions about being a mom at 21.. I will be 22 once the baby is here but I will admit I am not the most selfless person and I am pretty self centered.. I also feel like I haven't grown up enough to have a child but now I will be forced too. Does anyone else feel like this? 👋🏻

I became a mom at 20. Now I am almost 22 and my husband and I are trying for baby number two! I wasn't ever really scared more like nervous excited.

Don't feel bad... I'm 23 and still don't feel like I have the mindset of a mom just yet. It all feels so so real that I'll be responsible for another life smh. Everyday I have anxiety even though I have a support system saying you can do it so I know how it is. Don't pay attention to the others talking about "I've always been ready"🚫 if your only aspiration was to be woken out of your sleep to a crying baby changing over 100 diapers weekly then more power to you. As for the FTM that enjoys my silence, solitude and sanity lol I'm still preparing myself for all that's in store. From one FTM to another though, we got this! I'm rooting for you all the way 💯

I'm 21, I'll be 22 when baby is born, and I'm more than ready. I've known since I was young that I was put on this earth to raise children. I began wanting them when I became serious with my husband (age 17). We wanted to wait until we were out of school, married, and stable. Needless to say, 9 months after getting married were expecting our first baby :) I feel like I've experienced enough over the past few years. We're a military family so I'm ready to explore the world with my husband and child.

I thought I was ready now.... Not so much but everyday you learn more and it gets better. I'm so happy to be a mother it means so much more then my non mother days lol

I'm not scared at all. I know lots of people that had babies at 21, like myself, and they've all said motherhood changed them completely for the better.. even when you're pregnant, you don't realize how much your heart will change when that baby gets here. You will love that baby so much, and be such a great mother. All you can do is be the best mom you can be, and your child's happiness and love for you will reflect that. Good luck to you!

I got pregnant at 19, had my boy a week before my 20th birthday & I have been terrified every step of the way! Creating a life, and raising that life to be an amazing person is terrifying! You never know what the right thing is until you see the results! My son is only 7 months old and every day I question the choices I make with him. I'm so afraid that I am going to make mistakes and screw him up. But I'm still going, and hoping that I'm doing alright! Being a mom is even harder when you're young because everyone expects you to screw up. And you don't want those people to be right! Just do what you think is right and take care of that little one! Babies (& children) are the most amazing little blessings! They are the piece of your heart you didn't know was missing! ❤️ you can do this momma!
