I was all for encapsulating my placenta. However I spoke to my OB about it today and while he isn't against it, he doesn't see the point. He said the reason someone would injest it is so they can get the hormones. However he said most of those hormones will be broken down in your stomach acid and will be of no use. He's had two other patients do it, and neither of them really noticed a difference. So if anyone has had it done, is it really that great? I really want to do it, but now I'm wondering if it's even worth it.
