Zoloft starting at 32 weeks 3 days?

Hi all!
So I went to my OB yesterday and spoke with her about how I've been feeling lately. (I'm very angry and depressed feeling towards my hubby. I feel like he doesn't care about me and baby even though I see he's working his butt off for us..) I've had some emotional problems all my life, but I've never tried meds for it. 
She recommended starting Zoloft 50mg before I deliver just in case of postpartum depression.
I'm so nervous about taking a class C medicine because I don't want to hurt my baby. Has anyone been on this? Did baby respond okay after delivery? Thanks!

I was on Paxil when preg with both my sons- they are now 8 & 12. At the time I had some severe stressors in life and it was really my only option so I wouldn't lose it. They were both born healthy and are still healthy and happy. Sometimes you have to make tough decisions- but you need to be well mentally for baby! Paxil is one now that they totally don't recommend, so I'm glad my guys were ok. Zoloft I heard is one of the safer options. Do what is best for you Mama. Btw- it took about 3 weeks or so for me to notice a difference after starting the meds each time. Just to keep in mind. Also- i breastfed both of them while still on the meds and like I said they are now happy & healthy big boys!

At this point the baby is mostly just growing and putting on fat. Sometimes you have to do what's best for you and the baby. Your stress could do more harm than the medicine during the pregnancy. So think of that as well. I would try it for a couple weeks if you can't feel a difference then I wouldn't keep taking it.

I've been on anti depressants since Feb. and I'm so grateful I started them. I'm 29 weeks and couldn't imagine how I'd be dealing with this without medication. I was so deep into depression I couldn't shower, clean, cook, or even get out of bed. Now I'm the total opposite! I don't have all the energy in the world, only because baby is getting so big, but I manage two accomplish two small goals each day. I'm even starting to spend some time doing a little landscaping! I'm so grateful I took the steps to get the help I needed.
