Nausea/dry heaves/gagging with no vomit?

Hey ladies. I woke up at about 2 am this morning feeling really sick and have been having dry heaves off and on...I have emetophobia (fear of vomiting) so as you can imagine this is quite torturous for me! I had a little diarrhea earlier and that helped for a little bit, but I started gagging again once I came downstairs. I took some pepto chewables, which I guess didn't help, and also some activated charcoal in case its food poisoning or anything. Any help or remedies for nausea without vomiting? Any help is very much appreciated, thank you
