He's worry about what his parents will say!!!
My SO has so it seems lived his seeking approval from mum and dad, before he does anything he calls one of them up to make sure it's ok etc, he's 31 now and I wish he would trust his own judgement. He never asks me if curtains things are ok to do and it annoys me no end!
We are now TTC and he is positively shitting himself about telling his parents when it happens, he's very much a mummy's boy which is ok and am not judging him on that but bloody hell time to cut the apron strings maybe?
He is worried that his parents will go nuts because he got a girl knocked up about 5 years ago and they wouldn't speak to him or help him in anyway and just told him to sort it out, think you may know what I mean, anyway the girl decided to abort and his parents started talking to him again.
They are very old fashioned and believe babies should be conceived in wedlock and dating me for them, at first, was a massive no no because I already had children. So it took a while for me to win them over which I have now and they are nice people.
I get they may want the best for their baby boy but wanting the best and moddy coddling him like they have since birth has now made him suspect scared of telling them major stuff, when he told them about me they went ape shit! What can I do to tell him that we don't need approval by his parents to live our lives?
