I was told that you have to wait 6 months after a miscarriage to try again for another baby. Is this true?

depends what exactly happened when you misscarried , I had an early misscarriage and was told I could try as soon as I got my next period , I got pregnant before the period but it was chemical , but I conceived without trying just after I stopped bleeding from the chemical , stuff like molar pregnancy and blighted ovum etc you have to wait a while due to the risk of the problem repeating x

Depends on the circumstances of your miscarriage. I had a blighted ovum at 6 weeks. My doctor told me to wait one cycle basically to get regular again, then started trying. In the end it took me 6 months to get pregnant after anyway. Listen to your doctor. I'm sure they have a reason for telling you 6 months. Baby dust!

Unless you're friend is a doctor I would totally ignore that. It's different for every miscarriage and depends on mommy's health. I miscarried at three month, and my doctor told me to wait one cycle and even then it was for dating purposes.

Every doctor has an opinion. I got pregnant two months after I had a miscarriage. You can always ask the doctor why they wanted you to wait so long.
