Myself and my partner got it along with all of the grandparents who will be holding the baby within the first month. We live in California and it's a real concern here.

My husband and I both got it. My parents are coming to stay with us for a week right after the baby is born so we asked them to get one as well. I don't think we will ask anyone else to.

Per the CDC website, non-pregnant adults just need to get it once to be vaccinated against whooping cough (but still need the booster for tetanus). But if someone hasn't had it and is going to be around the newborn a lot,  then they should probably get it.

My husband and I both got it, we asked our close family to make sure theirs was up to date (I think they just needed to have it in the past 3 years) since they'll be here staying with us right after the baby is born. But don't be afraid to ask people that are going to visit very early on. We're in California, it's a big thing here, but it's one of those things where you'd rather be safe than sorry!
