Baby Shower Venting

Is anyone else planning their own baby shower? I have a little bit of control issues and I have a vision of what the decorations and invitations would look like. I'm a only child so I wouldn't expect friends to throw my shower for me but my mother seem uninterested in helping me. I'm almost to the point of saying 'F' it and just not doing it. I just want help, I'm not asking for money or anyone else to do the work for me. Is that too much to ask?? Darn hormones have me so emotional lately 😐
