Has anyone had to move to a different state being pregnant?

My husband wants to move clear across the country for a new job 4 weeks before I'm about to deliver. How would that even work?!

My husband and I are moving from Oklahoma to New York when I'm 34 weeks. However I'm thankful that my family is in NY so I am staying with them while fam and my hubby do all the heavy lifting.

I'm moving May fifth and I'll be 29 weeks tomorrow. It's only three hours. I can't imagine that far of a move. I think the hardest part is switching insurance and doctors. Stay positive. You'll be great!

One thing you would absolutely want to check on is your health insurance. Making sure that it would still be active if he switches companies and whether or not you would be considered out of area for your out of pocket maximums and deductibles! Before the move you would want to research what hospitals in that area your insurance prefers/has providers for so you have a plan if you went into labor. Luckily a newborn doesn't need a nursery and all of its gadgets clothes, blankets, a safe place to let baby sleep and diapering essentials will be more than enough in the first few weeks.
