Dentist chair at 31 weeks?

I have a routine cleaning next week. Will I be ok that long laying on my back? It's not very comfortable...

I just had emergency dental work at 29 weeks, they went as quickly as they could...I was on my back maybe 15-20 minutes. I would wait on anything non-emergent though.

Elective dental procedures after second tri is a no-no. Any reputable DDS would not allow you to have procedures done until after birth. Only in an emergency situation would it be considered.

Mind told me to wait until baby is born for the checkup bc I can't get X-rays

I had a cleaning in my second trimester and then went back for some cavities since my third trimester started. My dentist scheduled them all seperately so I wasn't laying in the chair for too long and like many others said he told me to raise my hand any time I needed a break! It wasn't a problem!

Hurt like a dickens but they made sure they didn't leave me on my back for very long 😃

I went a around 33 weeks and it was uncomfortable but my dentist told me to raise my hand if I needed to lay up, but I didn't need to. Although a bit uncomfortable my back popped when I got up and that actually felt good because it hasn't popped in a while. :) it's gonna be fine just make sure to tell your dentist if you feel bad or need to get up at all.

I took a pillow and put it behind my back I had a route canal and all no issues

I couldn't lay on my back so mine let me lay on my side the whole time

Yes but my hygienist was nice enough to tell me if I felt lightheaded at all to raise a hand a roll on side!
