Homeschooling? Help!!!

Question

How many parents homeschool their children? Is it hard? We are basically being forced to homeschool our 5 yr old next yr. Unless we want to send him to the public school in our city (which is horrible!) I've approached the school board and everything trying to get him in a different school. But I'm sooo concerned I can't homeschool him or he's going to miss out socially or I'm just going to fuck my poor baby up for life! I'm completely stressed out!

Depending on your state they may have online public school (free) guided by teachers and a set curriculum. Since homeschool is getting more and more popular a lot of public places such as zoos have different things or events for homeschool kids. There might even be a homeschool group in your area where they get together for field trips, etc. Good luck! I have been looking into homeschooling my 6 year old. She will be in 1st grade next year.... Or i have heard of people using a friend or relatives address that lives in a better school district.

I'm not experienced with homeschooling but some of the smartest kids I know were homeschooled. You should look online for some forums. :) Good luck!

I am actually planning to homeschool our children. I found a lot of great tips on Pinterest and also there are several facebook groups for our area where they do field trips and such so the kiddos are socializing.

I was homeschooled for a few years it really isn't hard just make sure you know what you're doing. As for the social aspect you're going to have to just get him into some sports when he's old enough if he isn't already I don't remember how old you said he was and take him to the park and just try to keep him around kids his age
