Pain when breast pumping

The past 3 times I have pumped, when the suction goes it feels like something in my breast is being pulled on all the way from my side beneath my armpit. This last time I had to turn it off because I couldn't take it anymore! I only ended up with 2oz and my kid takes 3 1/2! I started balling my head off. I have been having the worst luck with everything and once again I hit another bump in the road. Any idea what this is? I put the pump suction halfway otherwise I dont pull out any milk. I dont have engorged boobs or clogged milk ducts or mastitis. It feels like a sore throb and I am feeling it all the way into my side not just my boob.
