5 h. Flight during 1st trimester Yes /No?

Hi sisters!
I am on my 8th week, and I have a flight booked in 2 weeks time. I read the flights during pregnancy might end with MC.
Not sure if I should take the risk?!...

I flew at 11-12 weeks and was fine. It was a 9 hour flight, so I got up and walked a lot. My dr also told me to take half of a low dose aspirin before flying. Might be something to check with your dr about. Anyways, I'm 17 weeks now and babies are healthy. Good luck!

Ask your doctor if you are concerned. My doctor said for car travel to just not sit for more than 2 hours and get up and walk around and go to the bathroom. I don't see why it would be any different for plane travel.

I went on 4 separate trips my first trimester, and the longest flight was 10 hrs. No big deal. Stay hydrated, bring crackers or whatever snack helps you with nausea, move around in the plane (aisle seat helps), and possibly consider compression socks. Unless you are high risk, I wouldn't worry about it. If you are, ask your doctor.

I'm 10 weeks and done 5 flights this week, from 2-8 hours each! I had nausea/motion sickness on take off and landing and made sure to walk around every few hours or so, but so far so good! My dr said flying was fine, no restrictions until 3rd trimester!

I've never heard any statistics on this, but I did miscarry on a plane. I don't think it had ANYTHING To do with the plane though, I think it was just timing.

Where did you get that info, that miscarriages are common after flying? I know it's not recommended to fly late in pregnancy, but I just flew to Florida with no problems or concerns from my doc. I'm eight weeks.
