Epilepsy and pregnancy?

I am seizure free for almost 4 years. But I am 8 weeks pregnant. I am worried that the pregnancy and hormone fluctuations might trigger a seizure. Does anyone have any experience?

I'm on vimpat and zonisamide. I haven't experienced side affects like I have with other meds. And I don't have to have my levels checked because they stay even. But that is before baby. So I don't know if that will change

Hi! I have had epilepsy for 20 year. I was seizure free for 12 until my son was born 3 years ago. The hormones are unbelievable during and after pregnancy and you have to make sure to get your levels checked as you may need more medicine. I am on my second pregnancy and can no longer take genetic medicine as it's not strong enough and has caused me seizures. Keep up with your neurologist and all will be great. Good luck
