Surprise twins!?

Has anyone been pregnant with what they thought was one baby and then give birth to twins?

I think I'd switch doctors & hospitals if that happened... if my ob, ultrasound tech & nurses couldn't hear or see the second fetus, there's a problem. . .

My husband was a surprise twin :) but that was 23 years ago when ultrasounds weren't as clear.

Depending on how many ultra sounds you have the one could jus be hiding behind the other

My mom has a friend that got pregnant while she was already pregnant, about 2 weeks later. Luckily she was able to deliver them both at the same time, it was a surprise-sort of- but they caught them on the 20 week scan lol

Well I know two people that are close to me that didn't know they were having twins until a mug later ultrasound. First few didn't catch it. But as a surprise in the delivery room? No

I last year was pregnant with twins it was crazy and bizarre I hadn't been able to concieve for 7yrs and all of a sudden that happened but unfortunately I only got to 15wks :(

No. But family friends have. One baby was massivly smaller then the other. Back then (20ish years ago) ultrasounds werent as common. Also one of the babies was white and the other dark. Which is awesome just saying. And one of the girls is still heaps smaller then the other haha.
