I've just been sent home from labor and delivery after being there since Thursday. Thursday I had contractions that progressed dilation to 2cm and effacement to 90%. Magnesium, terbudaline, and indoset did not work. Neither did the fluid bags. But after 24 hours on procardia, my contractions continued but cervical changes stopped. Dr said I could continue to have contractions 3-5 minutes apart for weeks without cervical change, especially on the procardia. So my question is how, then, do I know when to call the dr????  Anyone else have experience with this?
