Lovenox Shots?

Question

Anyone else taking Lovenox (Enoxaparin Sodium) Injections? I'm on it due to a clotting issue and can't take a daily aspirin.

Is anyone else having bruising? What are you doing for it? 😕 with my pants getting tight and dark purple spots bruises my stomach is getting quite uncomfortable! And I'm only ~6 weeks! Only another 9 months of it 😭

I have a clotting disorder too... But I'm on Heparin... I have found if I slowly inject the bruising is much less... I hope that helps.

I'm not on Lovenox but I'm a nurse. That bruising is an expected side effect of lovenox...since it's a blood thinner, bruises tend to form around the injection site. They tend to get better with time! You should try pinching while administering if you aren't already? It seems to be less painful according to my patients. I would show your doctor when you see them just because I can't verify without seeing/feeling them but you should be fine!!

A lot of times the bruising is caused by injecting the medication too fast. It's recommended that you take 60-90 seconds to slowly administer it. It helps!

I'm on them and yes I have bruises all over my stomach ! I'm 6 weeks too ! !!!
