Early glucose test

I went yesterday for my 8 week appointment. I had my blood work done a few weeks ago at my general practitioners office. My OB said that while my AC1 was in normal range for the insurance paperwork it was a little higher than she'd like going into a pregnancy. I had diet controlled GD with my last pregnancy. She said on Monday I will be doing a 2 hour diabetes test. Do you think she's testing for GD this early?
