VBAC VS. repeat Cesarean?

Question

This is my second baby, and my first was born cesarean section at 37 weeks because I wouldn't dilate and had preeclampsia. As of right now I'm seeing a midwife in hopes for a VBAC but I'm SO nervous!

Is anyone else trying for a VBAC?

How many cesarens have you had?

Have you done a VBAC before?

Advice?

If you are choosing a repeat cesarean, what made you make up your mind?

With your situation as long as you don't have preeclampsia again I would go VBAC! I think you're doing the right thing trying to do all possible. I am having my 3csection. This one and the last one were repeats because I had a bad experience with my first. Long story short, 23hrs of labor, 2 hrs pushing and nothing happening so I had to have an emergency csection. After thinking long and hard in the 5years between my first 2 and discussing it in deta with my dr and husband we decided it best to schedule a repeat section with my second and then knew for the next kid/s I would also schedule repeats.

I had csection with my first and will more than likely have one with this baby. My dr and I have discussed that we will plan for the csection and if the baby has other plans and comes before then great, if not we do have an end date he won't let me go past. ( due to the issues I had with my first)

I'm doing a repeat csection just for the simple fact that I know what to expect. What convinced me was all the what ifs what if I don't dilate. What if something goes wrong. Ya know. Good luck with your decision!!!
